In “Placeless” becoming parallel is a form of submission, a short delay in time, where one reclines to become parallel to the sky, eliminating verticality, leaving behind the world that is fast moving and hasty.

I was interested in people’s faces and bodies, how they lay over whatever surface they desired and encountered a huge vastness that made them “placeless”. I wanted to reflect the desire of the person to become one more layer above the earth, this being the only demarcation for their location.
