The space between being asleep and awake…the consciousness drifts between images borrowed from imaginary worlds shuffled and reshuffled with images from the “real”, the daylight time.

“The travel” is a series of photographs that move back and forth between these two states, where sometimes reality and imagination merge together and become indistinguishable.

Almost monochromatic, taken with tungsten film, the series “the travel” is an internal journey where the mind is drawn to getting closer to the surface of things to see whether things, people, images are real and whether the mind is a reproduction of images whose origins are identifiable or unknown and random.

Application: Each photograph is 70*70 cm, printed on metallic photographic paper. Photographs can be placed very close to each other, forming a square, a rectangle.
